In The Name of Love (Script)

(#scene1)

Ian      : Voillaaa! I’ve prepared this all for you Kim, are you surprised? (taking a sit, fixing the photo figure across him and keep on smiling)

Ian      : Are you aging backwards, Kim? Cause I feel like I’m dating my daughter now haha (started eating in peace)

Ian      : ever since I confessed to you when we were so young or now that my hair is half gray or even one day that I’ll have no teeth left, I’ll still love you the same, Kim. (finished eating and began to fill the glass wine)

Ian      : Happy 15^th Anniversary, Kim. cheers! (keep the eyes on her)

There must be at least one thing you wish you could have in life. For Ian, the thing was a little too much to even asked. The day he wished had never happened in his life.

(#scene2)

Ian      : Damnnnnnn! (turning off the alarm, sitting on the bed in annoyance)

Why did I even join the party last night (massage his temple) Okay, life must go on bro! (punch his chest and heading to the bathroom)

You going to make your mom proud of you! (winking towards his reflection in the mirror)

-It took 45 minutes for him to get ready before he headed off to the campus by his bike- (black out)

Kim     : ‘Fun at first I won’t deny~ but I want more than what meets the eye~ I wanna know when you looking at me that you see deep into my personality. Cause I want authentic, not just for- sh*t. (singing and got disturbed by a noise)

Girls    : Ian!!! Ian!!!! Date me!!!!

Ian      : Easy girls! U-uh give me a space, don’t push don’t push. For your beautiful faces, will you all stop? (trying to calm down the crowd)

Kim     : God.. (focus on the crowd) that boy is really nothing special. Am I the only one who was born with a good taste? (mumbling)

Kim     : Hey! With all due respect, can you all find another place to gather? Thanks! (shout out to Ian and the crowd)

Girls    : Hey pathetic busker! You the one who shouldn’t be here! (shouting back)

Kim     : Excuse me?

Ian      : Ehm cuties… I have presents in my locker, go there and wait me hm? (trying to persuade his fans and coming closer to Kim)

-The girls left-

Ian      : I’m terribly sorry for ruining your morning ,… ? (questioning look)

Kim     : Kimberly. (packing all her stuff and ready to leave)

Ian      : Oh Kimberly, I’m Christian Yu. I haven’t seen you before, are you new?

Kim     : … (leaving)

Ian      : Hey! Did you accept my apology?!- never mind. I’ll see you around Kim!!! (gazing through her back, smiling and happily going to the class)

Who knows that fate actually brought them into the same class and how Ian thanked God many times because he found out campus not as boring as it used to.

(Narration: Days after days had passed, Ian never give up to attract Kim’s attention. What Ian needed was very simple yet so difficult for him to make it true, to make Kim his.)

Ian      : Kim… hey! Wait! (chasing after Kim) did you see something colorful in your locker? (walking side by side)

Kim     : like what? The cover of the History book? (replying without looking at him)

Ian      : No! of course not! something that is fragrant (walking backwards in front of her)

Kim     :  oh! I found a bouquet of flower there. It was beautiful but sadly I had to give it away to the security, I couldn’t stand the smells. (texting someone through her phone while still walking)

Ian      : Why didn’t you tell me? We’re on the phone almost every night and stop ignoring me miss. (stop walking in sudden)

Kim     : (bumped into Ian’s chest) really now? (looking up to Ian in annoyance) why do you think you need to know? Ian.. listen, am I seem like a piece of cake to you? (intensely looking to Ian’s eyes)

Ian      : What? No! you’re actually a cupcake. Small and sweet (laughing at his own joke)

Kim     : You’re a complete joke and I’m done with you! (Punch Ian right on the chest)

Ian      : akh! Not bad haha (pretending to be hurt then hold kim’s right hand and stroke it gently) I’m not good at words you know, I- (cut off by someone)

Rich    : Kim, tell me you’re not forgot (approaching Kim without looking at Ian)

Kim     : How’d I forget, your house at 5 PM right? (thumbs up)

Ian      : How.. what- wait! You’re not going anywhere Kim~ I thought you don’t have any friends, who the hell is he? (complaining and pointing at Richard)

Rich    : Who the hell are you?! (moving forward, face to face with Ian)

Kim     : Okay, stop the scene! (slide in between them) He’s Richard, we share the same interest. And you (facing Ian) who are you to ordering me things? You have no rights!

Ian      : I.. I am nobody? (disappointedly looking at Kim)

Rich    : Smart boy haha, come on babe (pull Kim’s hand and left)

Ian      : Damnnn!!!! (Messing his hair and sit on the nearest bench in the hall)

Kai      : You scare the birds, isn’t it too early? (stand behind the bench holding a cup of coffee)

Ian      : Broken heart doesn’t know time bro

Kai      : Don’t Bro me! It’s in campus area moron (take a sit next to Ian)

Ian      : Don’t Moron me! It’s in campus area, sir (rolling eyes)

Kai      : I saw you guys-

Ian      : I’m giving up (looking up to the sky)

Kai      : uh-huh? You wish I’d believe in you? You’ve been saying the same things this past a month and look where you are. (mockingly said)

Ian      : I was about to confess, you know I am not good at words and stuff but I’m trying until that one brat interrupted me and what? Kim didn’t even seem to care, why would her? Everything she would care about is music, music and mus-

Kai      : There you are (smirking and raise his phone)

Ian      : Holy Crap.. why it took me a long time to realize. Thanks bro!!!! (leaving in rush)

Kai      : Told him to not call me that (shaking his head in disbelief and take a sip of his coffee)

(#scene4)

Ian      : Hey

Kim     : you’re not going to stop? (huffing)

Ian      : Please, please just a second (take a sit next to her) I might not really know anything about music, but this song. I’ve been listening to this song for years already, so will you stand still, listen to this song and try to catch the message? (pull out his phone and set the headset, plugging the headset on her and looking deep into her orbs)

Kim     : Ian… (closing her eyes and focus to the song, smiling)

            Til My Last Day, Justin Moore. I know this song (unplug the headset, looks Ian in the eyes) but love isn’t always great and what game are you playing now to be honest?

Ian      : Kim, never once in a life time I’m being this serious. Do you get it? (hold her chin up, looking deep into her eyes) so please stop thinking that I’m playing around with you because I am not.

Kim     : I am afraid, my door was opened and someone came in, my bad I gave him the key only to let him screw everything inside and then he just left, and since then I keep my door locked. Do you think I’ll give you the key? (lift her eyebrows, questioning look)

Ian      : you will if I ask you nicely, now Kim would you give me the key? Cause the house is empty without the owner. I promise you I’ll take care of everything. (hold her hands and peck them gently)

Kim     : only this time cause when you leave don’t ever think on coming back (kiss his cheek while blushing)

Ian      : YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! I promise I’ll marry you one day! (carry her bridal style and screaming around)

(Narration: No matter how cold your heart is It’ll be melted when you found something warm. Their relationship began just as beautiful as they expected to be. They have been together for a long time now, in this one peaceful apartment for example)

Ian      : I love you. (half asleep on the bed)

Kim     : Wake up you moron! You are so gross, look at this place. Ian!! Really~ (hit him with pillows)

Ian      : It’s still early in the morning Kim (yawning and trying to sit up)

Kim     : Early your ass! It’s noon already oh my god, I’ve never felt this crazy before, almost exploded (keep on scolding him and walk towards him)

Ian      : Gotcha! (pull her into the bed and hug her from behind) stop it, will you? It’s our special day let’s get ready and buy your favorite cupcakes downtown, hm? (kiss her cheeks)

Kim     : If you think that’s working on me, you’re wrong. I just don’t feel like arguing with you. (trying to hide her smile)

Ian      : Well, well, well, I love you too.

(Scene 5 )

(Narration: Another summer, another winter they have been living under one roof but no rings in their ring fingers, guess it’ll work.)

Kim     : huff he’s not answering (biting her nails)

Ian      : I’m home~ (loosen up his tie and sitting on the coach)

Kim     : It’s quite late. Guess you were so busy, um do you remember something? (sitting beside Ian)

Ian      : Yeah, I’m so tired. What? (replying with his eyes closed)

Kim     : Umm the cupcakes? (put a worried look) So, you forgot. Maybe it’s only matter to me (faking a smile)

Ian      : Really? Kim? I’m working my ass off for you now you’re upset over a cupcake. Hella funny. (laughing in sarcasm)

Kim     : What? Over a cupcake you said? And hey I’ve never asked you to work for me I could always apply for a job if it’s not your stubborn head refused it. (holding back her tears)

Ian      : Okay! My fault. (taking his car key and leaving)

Kim     : Ian!! Where are you going?! You can’t just leave like that! (trying to chase him, running down the stairs) Ian! Wait! Please don’t be like that on our special Arghhhh!!!! (slip off, falling from the stairs)

Ian      : No.. no.. No!! Kim! (hurriedly running to her) please please no (panicking while holding her on the floor)

Kim     : (smiling) see? You broke your promises (laughing weakly) you’ve been too kind, only this time I’ll forgive you. I love you (coughing and trying to finish her words before collapsing)

Ian      : NOOOOOO!!!! (crying)

-2 Months after comma-(blackout)

Ian      : I take you as my wife to have and to hold from this day forward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God’s holy law, and this is my solemn vow (kiss kim’s lips while crying)

Hey we are married now Kim, tell me you are happy. (smiling with tears)

(narration : Don’t ever take things for granted, cause when you lose them, at the same time you’ll realize how precious they actually are in your life.
